Roblox simulators and tycoons, noob-to-max progression

Quacks plays a different Roblox simulator or tycoon game almost every day. Every thumbnail uses the same recipe: his yellow duck-headed avatar on a bright sky-and-grass background, one oversized object, and a huge number.

Starting Over as NOOB but with MAX STRENGTH Gear in Roblox! (watch on YouTube, new tab)

The duck wears golden dragon armour with purple wings under a 'LEVEL 1' label, with item cards on the left showing 'x9,999,999 Pwr' and a 9,999 Robux price. The clash between 'LEVEL 1' and endgame gear tells the 'starting over' story at a glance, which may be why this restart video travelled further.

I Unlocked MAX EVOLUTION Air in Sell Lemons! (watch on YouTube, new tab)

A tiny duck holds up a giant rainbow oxygen tank marked 'O2' under '$1 CENTILLION' in rainbow letters. Selling air for an absurd price is a strange, simple idea and the tank reads at any size. The earlier Sell Lemons video ('I 100% COMPLETED Sell Lemons', 59,000 views) used a busy space scene with small stat boxes; the cleaner single object may have helped, though the video idea also changed.

Starting Over as a NOOB with BEST STONE in Roblox +1 Stone Skipping (watch on YouTube, new tab)

A huge red gem crackling with lightning crashes into the water while a small duck skips it from a grass ledge, with a 'MYTHIC STONE x999,999' card in the corner. The first video on the same game ('I Spent 97 Hours SKIPPING ROCKS', 95,000 views) used 'MAX SKIPS' and a rainbow stone. Both of the sample's 'Starting Over as a NOOB' titles are standouts, so the restart framing may be a strong pattern for this audience.

Thumbnail style

What Quacks's thumbnails have in common

  • The duck is always there

All 30 thumbnails show the same Roblox avatar: a yellow duck head with an orange beak, a black jacket and a blue T-shirt. The costume changes with the topic (a gold suit for the trading video, an admiral uniform for the military tycoon, a beret and palette for 'PAINT TO GET RICH'), but the duck head never does, so the channel is easy to spot even at small sizes.

  • Plain sky, flat grass

Most frames sit on a cyan sky and a flat green baseplate, the look of an empty Roblox world. This keeps the background quiet so the saturated objects (a red gem, a gold minigun, a rainbow oxygen tank) stand out. Themed scenes like the red throne room in the Dungeon Boss video are the exception.

  • Numbers as the headline

Thumbnail text is mostly numbers: '$1 CENTILLION', '1 in 93,504,285,649', '+$295,350/sec'. They are set in heavy rounded type with a thick black outline, often with a rainbow fill. The title usually carries a different number (the car wash video promises $935,128,406,683), so the two add information instead of repeating each other.

  • Before and after in one frame

Many thumbnails are split in two: 'Level 1' against 'Level 9999' for the gun forge, a crying duck with '0 TAPS' against '$3,947,293/sec', a $1 flip phone against a $9999 rainbow phone, 'Day 1' with a goldfish bag against a full pet store. The left side is small and plain, the right side is big and loud.

  • Red 'MAX' plus one white word

A repeated label in the top-left corner: 'MAX VAULT', 'MAX SKIPS', 'MAX TYCOON', 'MAX STRENGTH', with the first word in red and the second in white. It echoes the 'MAX LEVEL' wording in many titles.

  • One giant object

Each frame has one hero object scaled far beyond the avatar: a shark, a cracked red gem, an oxygen tank, twin red swords, a vault spilling cash. The duck is often small beside it, which shows the size of the upgrade without words.

What you can borrow

Ideas to take to your own channel

  1. Keep one mascot element identical in every upload (Quacks' duck head) and change only the costume to fit the topic.
  2. Put a number in the thumbnail and a different number in the title, so the two add information instead of repeating.
  3. Make one object far bigger than your character to show the size of an upgrade without text.
  4. Use a quiet background (plain sky and flat grass) so one saturated object pops.
  5. When you return to a game, change the angle and the hero object (for example 'Starting Over as a NOOB') rather than reusing the first thumbnail.

Starting Over as NOOB but with MAX STRENGTH Gear in Roblox!

YouTube rounds public counts (118K, 1.2M…), so every number here is approximate. The multiple is a video's views divided by the median of the channel's recent uploads: ×3 means three times the usual audience. A high multiple is a lead worth studying, not proof that the thumbnail caused it: the topic, the timing and YouTube's recommendations play a part too. Click-through rate and impressions are private; only the channel owner can see them.

FAQ

Questions about Quacks

How many subscribers does Quacks have?
As of 23 October 2026, Quacks has about 420K subscribers, a figure YouTube rounds. Across the 30 latest long videos we sampled, the median was about 82,500 views. The best one, 'Starting Over as NOOB but with MAX STRENGTH Gear in Roblox!', had about 441,000 views, roughly 5.3 times the median.
What does Quacks make videos about?
Quacks plays Roblox simulator and tycoon games: clickers, forges, fishing, money-making and base-building games. Most videos follow a noob-to-max arc, starting weak and ending with the strongest item or the richest base. In the 30 uploads we looked at (about four weeks up to 23 October 2026), a new video went up almost every day, each 25 to 49 minutes long.
What do Quacks' thumbnails look like?
Each one shows his yellow duck-headed Roblox avatar on a bright sky-and-grass background, next to one oversized object such as a giant gem, a gold minigun or a rainbow oxygen tank. Text is short and mostly numbers, in thick outlined type, often with a rainbow fill. Many use a before-and-after split, like 'Level 1' against 'Level 9999'.
What game does Quacks play?
Roblox. Quacks moves between many Roblox experiences rather than sticking to one, for example Sell Lemons, +1 Stone Skipping, Wash the Car, Trading Tycoon and Sword RNG. The common thread is the genre: simulators and tycoons where numbers grow very fast, which suits the channel's number-heavy thumbnails.
